10 of the Best Brunch Spots in Indianapolis

Brunch is ready.

Brunch is a weekend ritual for foodies everywhere, and Indianapolis is no exception. The city has a lineup of can’t-miss brunch destinations, perfect for those mornings that you want to sleep in and miss that early morning breakfast rush. I’ve lived in Indianapolis for years and have had the chance to explore Indy’s brunch scene. From a savory breakfast hash to a stack of pancakes, the options for brunch can be as overwhelming as picking what to order off the menu.

That’s why I’ve rounded up my top recommendations, so you can eat your way through Indianapolis’ brunch scene. I will admit that I am more of a savory than sweet bruncher, but there’s truly something for everyone at these spots. If you’re a local looking for a new favorite brunch spot or a visitor eager to experience the best that Indy has to offer, this guide will lead you to the trendiest and tastiest brunch spots in the city.

1. Milktooth

📍534 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203
💰Price: $$
For a truly unique brunch experience, you have to visit Milktooth – a pioneer of the “brunch-forward” movement in Indianapolis. With its artistic interior and adventurous menu, this hot spot is anything but your traditional brunch experience. Its innovative dishes like the Dutch baby pancakes and cocktails paired with its hipster vibes (the spot is adorable), makes this place a foodie paradise. Not to mention, it has an outdoor patio for summer days. Milktooth is my #1 go-to spot when I have people visiting me in Indy. Only catch is that it is first come first serve–and as one of Indy’s hottest brunch spots, if you don’t get there right when it opens, be prepared for a really long wait.

2. Gallery Pastry Shop

📍4573 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46205
📍319 E 16th St Suite 101, Indianapolis, IN 46202

With a modern twist on traditional favorites and a chic aesthetic, including outdoor patio seating surrounded by greenery, it's the perfect place for a solo brunch adventure or a brunch meetup with friends. With three locations across Indianapolis, including the Broad Ripple location that I’ve been to many times, Gallery Pastry Bar offers convenience and delicious eats. Don't miss their almond croissant — it’s a must try!

3. Garden Table

📍908 E Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46220

With locations in the Mass Ave district, Broad Ripple, and Carmel, this brunch spot offers a delicious menu crafted with seasonally-influenced and locally-sourced food. If you’re health-conscious or seeking a healthier brunch alternative, this option could be for you. With its popular garden avocado toast topped with poached eggs to its seasonal fruit-filled açai bowls (or my personal favorite: the sweet potato hash bowl), Garden Table offers simple dishes, made from natural ingredients, grown and harvested by local farmers. If you’re looking for a little detox and splurge, try the fresh cold-pressed juice flight. You can make reservations at the Mass Ave and Carmel locations, but Broad Ripple is first-come, first-serve.

4. Provider

📍1101 E. 16th St., Indianapolis, IN 46202

Provider is hands down one of the best coffee spots in Indianapolis. Located in the heart of the city, it’s trendy and hip and offers the perfect blend of coffee and quick bites. With indoor and outdoor seating, it’s an ideal spot for a lighter, quicker, on-the-go brunch/breakfast. The coffee menu features expertly crafted espresso, freshly roasted coffee, and handmade signature lattes made with ingredients from scratch and local grass-fed jersey milk. You can pair your morning coffee with a pastry or a breakfast sandwich. My go-to order is the iced ginger latte and vegan breakfast sandwich, made better by their housemade poppy pepper jelly. Provider also has a sister location in Indianapolis with similar offerings, but different aesthetics: Coat Check (the original).
